​Alexandra Blythe, the Artist behind Mayhem, Magic and Me, has been making miniatures for around 40 years.

Always interested in Nature and wild spaces (hence the Ecology degree), she started out making and selling highly detailed floral brooches and other jewellery.

​

 In 1990 she transferred this skill set to making collectable miniatures for Dollshouses.

​

 Although there have been many changes along the way (including a change in business name from Four Seasons Miniatures) and many, many side quests (Qualifying and working as a Therapeutic Arts Facilitator, attaining an MA in Fine Art, a textile diploma, 

writing and illustrating a darkly humorous book about ecological crises, and generally caring for a number of reptiles, parrots and other more ordinary animals... you get the picture).

The Miniatures however prevailed and returned as a full time occupation.

​

 Many items are still deeply rooted in Nature, others can only really be characterised as 'Eccentric'. 

Specialising in Magical, Fantasy and Steampunk styles, and now offering a bespoke Character Doll commission service, alongside the long term, more generalised

'Anything you need' commissions !

Also easy to spot at the Miniatura and Kensington shows, as the stallholder prancing about with flowers in her hair, waving her arms about enthusiastically

and generally surrounded by Mayhem and laughter.
